Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AlexandrIA platform, services, and applications (collectively, the “Service”) provided by TryAlexandrIA (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of Service

AlexandrIA is an AI-assisted knowledge-discovery platform. The Service may include knowledge mapping and exploration, automated research and information gathering, document generation and synthesis, collaborative spaces, and integrations with third-party data sources.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete account information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. Team and organization administrators must ensure member compliance, manage roles and access, oversee activity conducted through the team account, and pay applicable team-seat fees.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The Service may combine subscription and usage-based charges. Current pricing appears on our website. Subscription fees are billed in advance on the recurring period stated for the plan; usage charges may be billed in arrears. Fees are non-refundable except where these Terms or applicable law require otherwise. Trials or beta access may be limited or ended at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to violate law; infringe intellectual-property rights; create, store, or distribute harmful, illegal, or misleading content; reverse engineer or extract source code; disrupt the Service; gain unauthorized access; use unauthorized automation; resell or redistribute the Service without permission; or build a competing product from the Service.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of content you upload, create, or enter (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display User Content only as needed to provide the Service. We process data under our privacy information and may provide a data-processing agreement for eligible team accounts. You may request an export. After termination, data may be retained for a reasonable export or recovery period and then deleted, subject to legal obligations.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to produce insights, summaries, and other material (“AI Outputs”). AI Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or fabricated. They are intended to assist—not replace—human judgment and do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Verify important information against authoritative sources and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

You are responsible for how you use AI Outputs and for decisions or actions based on them. The Service may retrieve and synthesize third-party information; we do not control or endorse those sources and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, features, and technology belong to TryAlexandrIA and are protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms do not grant rights to our marks, logos, or brand assets. Subject to these Terms, you own AI Outputs generated from your User Content and inputs to the extent permitted by law; similar outputs may be generated for other users from similar inputs.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We seek to comply with applicable data-protection law, including the GDPR. Our privacy information describes collection and use of personal data. Application services are hosted on infrastructure in France operated under French and European Union jurisdiction. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal data.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, with reasonable notice where possible. We may add or remove features; material reductions in functionality will be communicated to active subscribers when appropriate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including lost profit, data, or business opportunity.

Our total liability for claims arising from the Service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You may terminate through account settings and retain access through the current paid period. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, non-payment, or a reasonable risk to the Service or other users, with notice where feasible. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; clauses that by nature should survive, including intellectual property, liability, and dispute provisions, remain effective.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Paris, France. For European Union consumers, this choice does not remove protection provided by mandatory rules in the country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to any notice or consent requirements imposed by law.
